Thank You -Treasure Hunt

Thank you to everyone who helped to make the May Treasure Hunt such a success, especially those who took part on the day. It was a very enjoyable afternoon. Our thanks to Joan and Seamus McCamphill for setting the clues and providing the answers! The amount raised was £956.

Leavers’ Mass

There was a special Mass for all the young people who received the Sacrament of Confirmation in the Parish this year on Monday 28th May in St Joseph’s Church at which there was the opportunity to ‘Take the Pledge’. Parents and Sponsors were also invited to attend.

Christmas letter from Philippines

Christmas is a very busy month for Christian Churches and none busier than in the Philippines. Here in Malate, a total of 77 couples are scheduled to be married during December. None on Sundays or Christmas Day, however. Then on the 16th the Novena of Masses begins. In Malate we have one at 4:30am and another at 8pm. Many who attend are those who do not normally “darken the doors” during the year. The practice has spread to other parts of the world where Filipinos are living; even some non-Filipinos take part.
