Mass was offered for Deacon Conor on Friday 29th June in St Joseph’s Church as his time in the Parish comes to an end. Conor will be ordained in St. Bernard’s Church @ 3.00pm on Sunday 8th July and we pray God’s blessing on him in his final days of preparation. We thank Conor for all he brought to us in Antrim Parish and wish him many happy years as a priest. Father Emerson and Roisin Lynch from the Pastoral Council presented Conor with a cheque from the parishioneers as a token of their appreciation and their prayers go with him as he begins his ministry.
Conor said, ‘After nearly seven months with you in Antrim, I want to offer a sincere word of thanks and appreciation. I consider myself blessed that I was given this wonderful opportunity to work with you in the Parish. You have given me a warm welcome, you have shown me incredible support and you have taught me so much. It has been a great privileged to work alongside Fr. Emerson and the Parish team and I know my experience here will prove invaluable to me in the years to come. Please keep me in your prayers as I prepare for ordination next Sunday, 8th July. The following day at 7pm I will celebrate my first Mass in St Bernard’s, Glengormley and can I invite you all to join me for that celebration.’ Deacon Conor
