ONE OF ANTRIM PARISH’S UNSUNG HEROES.
In Lurigancho prison the first reaction to her death was one of total devastation. One of prisoners expressed his reaction in a letter:
“Minutes before Sister Juanita was taken hostage I was speaking to her when she came with a packet sent in with her by my mother. I can still see her eyes which reached to eternity. Her love, pure and gentle, which reflected her great love for people. Her spirit of kindness and sacrifice towards us prisoners will be my most precious memory.” Julio
Thank you to everyone who helped make the Parish Treasure Hunt such a success, especially to Canon Murphy for all his hard work in setting the clues sadly he was taken ill and wasn’t there to join in the craic afterwards. A big thank you also to all those who took part on the day. It was a very enjoyable afternoon. The total amount raised was £1,235.00

The parish has had two very successful events in the past year and we’re hoping to make it a ‘hat-trick’ by reviving yet another popular event from the parish’s past.
Wednesday 13th April saw the arrival of the Eucharistic Congress Bell at our Parish as part of the preparation for next year’s 50th International Eucharistic Congress.
